Grand yet quaint – this was my first impression of the Roop Niwas Kothi as we approached it through an unusually beautiful colonnaded patio and the feeling kept growing till the time I stayed in this beautiful heritage property in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan.
The beautiful building with an elegant blend of European and Rajasthani architecture derives its soul from the warmest and the most courteous set of people taking care of it. Their loving hospitality made the food here taste better than anywhere else and the stay so comfortable and memorable.
The stunning sunrise, native trees and flowers, many a dancing peacocks, refreshing swim in the royal pool, a fleet of thorough bred ‘Marwari’ horses and some serious attitude by the biggest goat I have ever seen, added so much character to the already charming ambience of Roop Niwas Kothi.
I will certainly visit this place again and spend at least two to three days to soak in the good vibes that it has to offer 🙂
