The canvas of life gets painted by strokes of everyday living. Strokes which transform the plain imageinto a never-ending painting.

But what are these strokes?

Mostly they originate from the Boring, Ordinary, Regular, Everyday, Dull, Obscure and Mundane. Moments of life that flash with mesmerizing and significantly BIG spurts of joy.

As life on earth continues for me, a lethargy, a been-there-done-that laissez faire routine has set in. Fewer things excite me. BOREDOM now envelops me faster than it did even a few years ago.
And this is what I observe. BORING things. Driving to work. Stuck in traffic. Waiting to ride the elevator. Conference calls. Meetings.

But somewhere, deep inside, this urge doesn’t let me rest. To capture what seems BORING to most, and yet is fascinating to some. The mundane becomes exciting in the blink of a flash, the flash of an eye.

When I look at my life lived, the ongoingness of the mundane, and yet, with these captured moments, I wonder if this wasn’t the BORING that I expected?  Maybe life is what happens, one boring moment after another, when we are waiting for the big moment to happen.

These photographs have captured that which my very perceptive self-missed noting.. Like magic created by simple reflections in a puddle. Shadows telling a story.
